Parents have an important role to play in LEETNS including volunteering in the classroom, working on policy committees and organising social and fundraising events.
Parents Association (PTA)
You may all as well get familiar with the abbreviation PTA as you will hear a lot about and from them! The PTA is a group of parents with a teacher representative who can advise the Board about various things, who can ask the Board for things and who do a lot for the children (think of organising fun days), parents (such as extra insurance cover, sale of school books) and the school (the dreaded FUNDRAISING).
Already this school year they have organised the school calendar (isn’t it beautiful?), raised money from the recyling clothes and textiles for Liberties Recycling and the Winter Fair is still to come on December 4th.
